On the Road Again

Well the time has come to say good bye to the oranges and to the working life.... yipee.
It's time to hit the road and see a bit more of Aus. Initially we're Adelaide bound on Thursday then who knows. It's a bit of a mystery tour.
We'll either head north to Cooper Pedi, The Olgas, Uluru, Kings Canyon, Alice and Darwin. Or we'll head west across the desert aka Nullabor Plain to Perth. Maybe need to flip a coin in Adelaide to choose.

Either way I'm hear for another three months then back to NZ for the winter in June. Stay there till Octoberish then I may actually make my way home!

Citrus Farm week Three!!

Life on the river is sooooooo relaxing just Cruising around on the boat.......or is it?

Wooo Hoooo check this out. How much fun and I even
managed to stand up....... well
long enough for a picture to be
taken anyway.

Then the girls went out on the biscuit Jo, Kat and me. It was pretty hard to hold on after the water skiing but we managed.

But then a few hours of water skiing really does affect the picking abilities the next day. I cold swear my arms have grown an extra couple of inches.

I see Oranges everywhere!!

We were holding out for a job as peach processors, however ended up with the job as orange pickers!

In the last seven days in heat averaging 40 degrees we've moved about 30 tonnes of oranges between three of us. Whoa my arms hurt and I keep getting these orange dots appearing infront of my eyes.

Pretty physical work but where we're staying certainly makes up for it. We're on our own private campsite which we share with a Koala, Fred and only two minutes walk to the Murray River where we head everday after work to get clean. The farmers pretty neat as well has said he'll take us out water skiing some night. Yippee another thing i've never tried before.
